About the event
The assistant class is meant to introduce you to the world of homebirths and get you acquainted with skills that will be useful in the birth setting. The class is filled with conversation, learning hands on skills, and then using those skills in mock scenarios to solidify them in your brain. There are multiple midwives in the surrounding areas and while the class doesn't guarantee you a spot as an assistant, it does make you a more favorable candidate for future assisting and is an opportunity to see what assisting entails and decide if it's something you're interested in pursuing!
The office is located upstairs at the building where roots + ramble is located. Click the menu tab labelled home and then "the clinic" for pics of the office - it's the door on the right when facing the building, parking is across the street!
