Certified Professional Midwife

Credential_NARM CPM PEP Application Exam - Mail - Beta-P.pdf.jpg

Why am I a midwife?

In 2016 my son was born. I had a doula and wonderful nurse midwife.

My labor was long and difficult, but I came out the other side so grateful for a team that helped me through and feeling stronger than ever.

Birth should leave you feeling powerful - no matter how it happens.

I began my career as a doula in early 2017, but midwifery was speaking to me already.

I hired my doula at 28 weeks! In July my son was born and afterwards I couldn't stop talking about options in childbirth.

I became a doula when my son was 6 months old, stealing pump breaks during the weekend workshop with DONA international.

I began Midwifery school online, but it simply wasn't good timing to begin my life on-call

I landed an apprenticeship with my wonderful preceptor,

Jennifer West, LCPM of Bowling Green Midwifery - I worked as a student for her for nearly four years and attend homebirths with her often as an extra set of skilled hands.

I passed my NARM! (The board exam to become a CPM)

I received my credential as a Certified Professional Midwife.
